The Virginia Association of Personal Care Assistants is an organization of home care workers - known as Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) - working for the improvements to home care that we need to ensure quality home care for older adults and people with disabilities in Virginia.

By uniting together as caregivers and working in coalition with consumers and advocates, the members of VAPCA have successfully persuaded Virginia lawmakers to invest in home care, and continue to work for improvements to the long term care system, ensuring people with disabilities and older adults have the choice to live at home instead of an institution.

VAPCA is affiliated with SEIU Local 5. With 2 million members in the healthcare, property service and public service professions, SEIU is the nation's largest and fastest-growing union.
